Biografi!
Danish-Swedish artist eee gee (Emma Grankvist) has emerged as one of Scandinavia’s most compelling new voices: a critically-acclaimed singer-songwriter blending Nordic pop melancholy with warm Americana, dreamy indie, and a flair for cinematic storytelling. Her first two albums, Winning (2022) and SHE-REX (2023), became breakthrough releases at home and abroad—earning multiple five- and six-star reviews, two Danish Grammy nominations, heavy national radio rotation across P3/P4/P6, international indie tastemaker festival appearances including Roskilde (DK), Way Out West (SE), Lowlands (NL), BBK Live (ES), and more than 20,000 headline tickets sold across Denmark and Europe. Her music has also found a global audience through syncs with Apple, The Sims (EA), American Horror Story, and Ralph Lauren.
What sets eee gee apart is the way she turns private emotional chaos into vivid, strangely comforting worlds. Her songs read like diary entries written on a long bus ride home—funny, bruised, and unashamedly honest—yet they bloom into widescreen arrangements that feel almost cinematic. She writes about the moments people usually hide: the sting of feeling inadequate, the absurdity of modern life, the tiny humiliations that somehow become turning points. Instead of polishing the edges off these feelings, she leans into them, pairing humor with heartbreak and melancholy with bold, melodic hooks. This blend of raw confession and stylized presentation has made her live shows deeply magnetic—intimate but theatrical, vulnerable but self-aware—and has established her reputation as an artist who builds not just songs, but entire emotional environments her audience can step into.
In 2026, eee gee unveils her third and most ambitious album, eeelluminagee. The project revolves around the American dream, the state of the world, heartbreak, and humor — all wrapped in a darker musical universe than before. After withdrawing from the public eye and archiving her entire online presence, she returns with a concept album that blends mysticism, occult symbolism, and apocalyptic storytelling into a cohesive narrative arc. Co-written with collaborators Nate Campany (Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan), Jack Hallenbeck (Maggie Rogers, HAIM), Rob McCurdy (Tate McRae), among others, eeelluminagee is built as a multilayered experience: a tongue-in-cheek spiritual awakening, a world on fire, and a deeply personal reckoning with loss, hope, and reinvention.
